Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a web server when you visit a website. Local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) is a browser-native mechanism for client-side data storage. Both technologies allow information to be retained between page visits.
Questify does not use tracking cookies, analytics tools, or third-party advertising cookies. Only strictly necessary and functional storage elements are used.
2. Legal basis
The storage of and access to information on users' devices is governed by § 25 TTDSG (German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act) in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b and f GDPR.
Strictly necessary storage is based on § 25 para. 2 no. 2 TTDSG (absolutely necessary for the service) without separate consent. Functional storage is based on your consent pursuant to § 25 para. 1 TTDSG in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
3. Storage technologies used
Login session
Stores your encrypted login session so you remain logged in during your visit. Automatically deleted upon logout or after 7 days at the latest.
Consent
Stores your cookie consent so the banner does not reappear on subsequent visits. Valid for 365 days. Can be reset at any time by clearing your browser cookies.
Display settings
Your preferences for language and display mode (light/dark) are stored locally in your browser so you don't have to set them again on each visit. They remain until manually deleted.
Personalisation data
Your individual customisations within the app (e.g. hidden entries, sort and filter settings) are stored locally in your browser. They remain until manually deleted or upon logout.
Session data
Short-lived session information (e.g. referral links) is stored exclusively for the duration of your active browser session and automatically removed when you close the tab.
4. Consent and withdrawal
A cookie banner is displayed on your first visit, through which you can grant or decline consent. Your choice is stored as a cookie in your browser.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies. The banner will then reappear on your next visit and you can make a new selection.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can manage, restrict, or delete cookies in your browser settings. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may impair website functionality.

6. No third-party tracking cookies
